About IR Upconverter Inks

IR upconverter inks contain inorganic pigments that become visibly coloured when exposed to infrared light. Depending on the selected pigment, the response can appear blue, orange, yellow, red, or another visible shade. The pigments can be incorporated into any ink colour and used with flexo, intaglio, screen, offset, inkjet, and rotogravure processes. Authentication is performed with specialized IR inspection systems. Applications include passports, ID cards, tax stamps, certificates, warehouse receipts, electronic components, luxury goods, and product markings.
